The show is based on Carl Weber’s crime drama novels of the same name. It stars Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford, Darrin DeWitt Henson, Javicia Leslie, Sean Ringgold, Tami Roman, Miguel A. The first season of the series, which debuted last year, was a critical and ratings success for BET. It averaged 1.25 million viewers per episode, which is a very solid number for a cable series.
