Ernie Hudson (from Oz and The Ghostbusters) stars as LC Duncan, patriarch of the powerful family and head honcho at their exotic car dealership. Valerie Pettiford plays Charlotte, his beautiful and feisty wife who tries her hardest to keep the family together no matter what.

Armand Assante plays Sal Dash, a mafia crime boss associate of LC and a close friend to the family. Darrin Henson portrays Orlando, a smart, handsome and sexy new CEO of the Duncan family business.

Emilio Rivera (from Sons of Anarchy) plays Alejandro Zuniga, the ruthless Mexican cartel boss antagonist who wants to take over the family business. Clifton Powell (from Ray) plays Uncle Lou, the muscle for the car business and for the streets.

The show also features Michael Jai White as Vegas’s hot-headed young heir, Dylan Wber as the teenage son of Paris and Rio, and Nayirah Teshali as Lauryn, the hip bubblegum chewing Duncan cousin fresh out of assassin school ready to enter the family business.

Valarie Pettiford

Valarie Pettiford is a Broadway actress and jazz singer. She received a Tony nomination for Fosse and has performed in numerous one-woman shows. She has also appeared in television series such as Half & Half and Blacklist.

The Family Business centers around the Duncans, a seemingly upstanding family who run an exotic car dealership by day and lead a dangerous secret life at night. The family patriarch, L.C., is at retirement age and must decide which of his children will take over the business.

Ernie Hudson (Oz and Half & Half) stars as LC Duncan, the head honcho of the family’s booming business. He must keep his family together as he deals with rivals and enemies. Valarie Pettiford plays Charlotte, LC’s wife who does everything in her power to protect the family business. Brely Evans is an actress, singer, songwriter and producer. She has appeared in a number of films and television shows. In 2019, she starred as Rondell Lancaster on the TV One drama Ambitions. She also recurred on the BET drama Being Mary Jane and TV One comedy series Born Again Virgin.

Ben Stephens

Darrin DeWitt Henson

Henson is an American choreographer, dancer, director, and actor. He was a brief member of the freestyle music group Trilogy and has choreographed for numerous artists including ‘N Sync, New Kids on the Block, Jordan Knight, Britney Spears, 98 Degrees, and countless others. He also starred in the 2010 live-action Tekken film and has done acting roles such as Grant in Stomp the Yard, Jim Brown in The Express, and MJ in Life Support.

Henson first rose to fame after his critically acclaimed portrayal of Lem Van Adams in Showtime’s Soul Food television series. He continued to act in popular urban films and television shows, including the Vivica Fox drama Lincoln Heights, BET’s Being Mary Jane, and the Omari Hardwick thriller The Last Letter.

Henson currently stars as Orlando Duncan in the hit BET drama Carl Weber’s The Family Business. The show premieres on Tuesday, March 28 at 9 p.m. ET on BET+ and can be watched live on Philo (free trial) and Fubo TV. It is produced by Tri Destined Studios.

Sean Ringgold

Known for his six-year portrayal of Shaun Evans on ABC’s One Life to Live, Sean Ringgold is also an accomplished actor who has appeared in a number of television shows, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, New Girl and Gossip Girl. He has also starred in the Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious and had a cameo in the Smurfs movie.
